La Colombiana Hamburger started in 2020, during the COVID pandemic. It was August, and I had just stopped working, so I began cooking on the porch of my house using a Blackstone griddle, making burgers. The inspiration came from a small burger stand I saw in Colombia. I tried a burger there that was super clean, simple, and full of flavor—I loved it. That inspired me to create my own version. I came up with my own recipe, and all of my sauces are original and made by me. The seasoning I use for the burger meat is also completely original.

That’s how everything started. I began with burgers, then expanded into empanadas, cheese arepas, and Colombian-style hot dogs. After some time, I worked there for several months during COVID, but eventually things slowed down and I started working in something else. I enrolled in culinary school, studied there for two years, and graduated.
